House plans

Another update is we decided to put our house up for sale in March and now under contract with potential buyers. We are in inspection week right now. Closing date is July 23rd. I'm glad that we have someone buying the house, but not looking forward to moving. We are going to move in temporarily with my Sister, Paige, while we look for a good rent house.

We found 6.5 acres just South of my parents place. Not even a mile away. It is beautiful wooded acreage with a pond and stream on the east side of the property. We plan to build a house in about 2 years. During this time we will be preparing the land, finish paying off debt (Thank you Dave Ramsey!) and saving for 20% down on our new construction home. We already have the house picked out! Floor plan to be adjusted a little. I am very excited! And Drew is excited he gets to play on a tractor to get the land ready :) Wish us luck on moving in the next month!

Baby Love

I started off blogging with good intentions of posting more often than I have. The last post was in my drafts since January and I realized I did not finish and post it! It looks like I just posted it yesterday. SO! I am back with my good intentions of blogging again.

Another motivation to blog is to keep record of my life for myself and my children to look back on. It is, after all, an online diary/journal.

A lot has happened since my first blog... I am now 16 weeks pregnant with our first baby!
My Husband, Drew, and I are excited! Due date is Dec. 4th. Drew's birthday is Dec. 21st so it will be a little Drew. I will have my hands full!

Per Hubby's request, we are not finding out the gender of the baby. I know... I know... you're thinking 'Are you crazy?!' 'How will you prepare?' We will just buy necessity things and then buy gender items afterwards. I agreed to it before we got pregnant, but only for the first baby. So far I am good with it although I am far enough along to find out...

After these ultrasounds were done, it really gave us confirmation that I am pregnant. It wasnt really sinking in at first, but it is now. I can't wait to meet our baby! I hope these next 24 weeks go by fast then time can slow down.

We found out I was pregnant on March 31st which is Drew's Mom birthday. She passed away when he was 13 yrs old. We know this baby is sent from Heaven from his Mom, Xan. Due to this, the baby's name will have significance and be named after Xan (Zan)
Boy: Zane Patrick Walker. Patrick is my Father's first name
Girl:  Alexandra Dawn Walker. We will call her Ally for short. Dawn is my Mother's middle name.

I have to say that I am experiencing Baby love. I already love my Baby more than anything in this world and he/she is not even born yet! This is what they mean by a Mother's love.

It's not the end of the world!

The Mayans were wrong! Their calendar may have ended in December 2012, but the world did not end. Thank Goodness! :) How could the Mayans predict the end of the world if they could not even predict the end of their own civilization?

December 21, 2012 was the last day of the Mayan calendar which happened to also be My Husband, Drew, 28th birthday so we were celebrating his birthday and "the end of the world". Drew wanted to celebrate by having a bonfire and drinking beer with a few of his close buddies. This was low key compared to previous years of celebrating birthdays. We are definitely not in our early twenties anymore!

My First Post

Hello Bloggers! My name is Kendall Nicole Walker. I have decided to join the blogging world! One of my best friends, Jessica Goodenough-McCormick, inspired me to start my own blog. You can read and follow her blogs here.

I thought: What a great way to keep a journal!

For several reasons:

1. I can type faster than I can write
2. I can post pictures
3. My blog won't get lost (hopefully) vs. book journal
4. My family and friends can read it
5. My future children will be able to read it someday too!

So, as you just read, My Husband, Drew and I do not have children yet. Although, we are starting to try...



We are 28 years old so we thought this would be a good time to get started. Drew and I have been married since July 17, 2010 and August 18, 2010 (I will explain), but have been together since 12/20/2004 so we have had our time together alone for awhile.

My favorite wedding pic!


So, to explain our two different marriage dates... We were getting married on a Saturday so we took off Friday to start preparing for the Wedding. Drew and I schedule had been hectic lately so one of the items on our to do list was to go get our marriage license since both of us had to be present.

You guessed it!

We forgot to go get it! We spoke to the Priest and we were able to go on with the Wedding ceremony (whew!) One month later we were able to schedule with our Priest and witnesses (Sister Paige and Drew's Brother Junior) to sign the marriage license. It just so happened to work out that we signed it one month later on 08/17/2010. We celebrate both anniversaries : )
A Wife's dream come true!

Tomorrow, 12/20/12 marks the 8th anniversary of the day we met. My Husband told me to make sure I was off work by 5pm, but would not say anything further. I could not figure out why he was trying to surprise me since 12/21 is his birthday. If anything, I should be surprising him. Then I remembered "the day we met" anniversary. You can't tell we are 'in love', can you? lol

I will find out what tomorrow brings! Be looking out for that post! Until then...
