It's not the end of the world!

The Mayans were wrong! Their calendar may have ended in December 2012, but the world did not end. Thank Goodness! :) How could the Mayans predict the end of the world if they could not even predict the end of their own civilization?

December 21, 2012 was the last day of the Mayan calendar which happened to also be My Husband, Drew, 28th birthday so we were celebrating his birthday and "the end of the world". Drew wanted to celebrate by having a bonfire and drinking beer with a few of his close buddies. This was low key compared to previous years of celebrating birthdays. We are definitely not in our early twenties anymore!

The next day Drew said he had a surprise for me and my youngest sister, Katie. Her birthday was Dec. 17 and she turned 15 years old. I was a little confused and felt bad my other two sisters werent invited...
Drew revealed the surprise when he drove us to the municipal airport. He was going to fly us to Chickasha, OK to see their big Christmas lights displays!

Drew is a student pilot. He just needs to take the written test to get his private pilot's license. The plane could only carry 4 people so that explained why he could only invite Me and Katie since an Instructor pilot had to fly with us. The plane ride was A-Mazing and fun! Drew knows how much I love Christmas lights! I could not ask for a better Husband!
